No safety mechanism is as safe as a de-cocked system.
Carry your hunting rifle in loaded but de-cocked condition, with a full magazine and cartridge in the chamber.
As Upgrade - manual cocking system for:
- M98 (possible for M98, VOERE models 2150, 2155, 2165)
- Does not interfere with low mounted scopes.
- Carry your hunting rifle in the loaded but de-cocked condition, with a full magazine and cartridge in the chamber in a safe manner.
- Simply press the cocking button and your rifle is ready to fire.
- You can fire repeatedly without having to cock it again.
- Silent de-cocking, in case you have not fired your rifle.
- You can use the rifle with or without bolt lock depending on your hunting style and personal preferences.
- The original striker unit remains unchanged and can be reused, if required.
- Handling
Fitting the rifle with manual cocking means absolute safety since the firing pin spring is cocked only before a shot is fired. As a result, the firearm is not only "secure", but in fact not even cocked. The cocking state of the firearm is clearly visible by the projection of the cocking slide. When the cocking slide is pushed forward, the firearm is immediately ready to fire. If repeated shots are fired, the cocking slide remains in its forward position and the rifle is immediately ready to fire again.
If no shots where fired and the firearm needs to be de-cocked, simply press the button of the cocking mechanism with the thumb and simultaneously press the side de-cocking button with the index finger.
